Background

From Manchester, Jodie describes herself as a mum, a baker, and now a TikTok Shop affiliate. But her story is much more than that, it’s a journey of resilience, growth, and rediscovering confidence in herself.

A Busy Life, A New Path

Balancing motherhood, work, and a new digital venture hasn’t been easy. Jodie’s eldest son serves in the army, while her youngest is still in school, and in between her family life, she’s building a growing presence on TikTok.

“It’s hard trying to balance everything: being a mum, working, doing TikTok Shop, and then trying to find even a little time for myself,” she says. “I still haven’t quite found that balance yet.”

But it was through TikTok that Jodie began to share her health journey, documenting her experiences and connecting with a supportive online community.

Finding Support Through Community

Through Jodie’s experiences shared on her platforms, she has helped build a community where people could ask questions, share challenges, and feel less alone.

“People would reach out, saying ‘I’m going through this—does this sound normal?’ We couldn’t give medical advice, but we could share our experiences. It made a huge difference for people starting out.”

 A Turning Point

Jodie has always been open about her struggles with weight. She describes years of ups and downs, emotionally tied to food and self-image. After the birth of her first child at 17, she was left with loose skin that weighed heavily on her confidence.

During COVID, she worked with a personal trainer and a nutritionist and made progress. But even after surgery to address body changes, food crept back in as a source of comfort. “I gained three stone after my surgery,” she recalls. “I could see it was getting out of hand.”

That’s when she discovered Cloud Pharmacy.

“I’d seen others talking about treatments online, so I researched it and came across Cloud. It just felt right. I’ve been with them since April last year, and it’s been the best decision for me.”

 Growth Beyond the Scale

For Jodie, the transformation has gone far beyond numbers.

She’s learned to track her progress in healthier ways, focusing not just on weight but also on measurements, exercise, and mindful eating.

“I used to secretly eat all the time. Now, I don’t do that at all. I still enjoy treats, but I know when to stop. That’s a huge change for me.”

Her mindset has shifted too. “Before, I didn’t even want to go out on the street. I felt like everyone was looking at me. Now, I have the confidence to wear what I want, even on holiday. I’m just so much happier.”

Even her relationships have flourished. “It’s brought me closer to my partner. I used to be so self-conscious that it affected us. Now, I feel more present, more open. It’s changed everything.”

Finding Motivation and Balance

Like anyone on a journey, Jodie faced low points. There were moments when she lost motivation and felt disconnected. “I used to reward myself with food, and when I didn’t want food anymore, I felt lost. I had to push myself to find other things I enjoyed: hiking, walking, even just getting outside for a bit.”

Her biggest motivator? Her family. “My son keeps me going. I realised I had to get up, do the steps, and keep pushing. I couldn’t spiral anymore, I had to take back control.”

Words of Encouragement

For others starting out, Jodie offers heartfelt advice:

“Take each day as it comes. Don’t be hard on yourself. Don’t just focus on the scales. Measure your body, notice how you feel. And never compare your journey to someone else’s. Some weeks you’ll lose, some weeks you’ll maintain, but just stay consistent. Make every day count.”

A Journey to Be Proud Of

Today, Jodie is proud of how far she’s come not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. “I feel like my twenties were taken away by my struggles with weight and confidence. But now, I’m at peace with myself. I’m proud of the choices I’ve made, proud of the journey I’ve been on, and proud of where I am today.”
